Ashtrays and apologies
Happiness you can’t escape
Impulsive thoughts paranoid
All they see is the damage I’ve done

Are you happy now?
Let the poets cry themselves to sleep
I keep my heart locked in gold
He’ll sleep when he’s dead

You’ll leave your old baggage behind
Thought spirals eyerolls
Escape it all, it’s just irrelevant
Still feels too soon but it’s so long overdue

I changed into goddesses, villains, and foods
I can make deals with the devil
About if they can redo the prophecy

It’s just medicine
A thesis of all I’ve loved

I didn’t know you yet

I’m getting good at healing
But I realised I need you
I’m sinking our fingers entwined

Do you think it’s forever?

Run out of ways to romanticise sadness
You’re the reason I’m okay
I’m glad for it all if it got us where we are.
